YOUR CHILDREN ARE WELCOME

Children are a blessing, a joy! At Shabbat services, when someone walks in with children, it enhances everyone’s pleasure, including the rabbi’s and the cantor’s. Please know that all adults understand that children have difficulty sitting still for long periods of time, that they might shout out or cry, or simply start talking. That never bothers the congregation because if it gets out of hand, parents know to walk outside for a moment to give their child(ren) needed space. Some parents choose to arrive at shul a little later in the morning so it is easier for their children.

Whatever you decide, all members should know that the Board of Trustees of Congregation Etz Chayim warmly invites and welcomes all children at our services. When a child grows up in a shul, the child will see the shul as a home, and G-d willing, will develop a comfort that can last a lifetime.
